  • Choices and Change

People make choices all the time and for some reason the smallest ones always seem to have the largest repercussions. Pretty soon we all make life-altering choices that set us in motion for favorable conditions. And sometimes it feels like we've just fucked up to the point of no return. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that sooner or later I have to make this "life-altering choice" I know that If I fail It's going to be a long road back and there might be times where I'll feel like giving up but I can't and I will not. I know that my resolve is stronger then I give it credit for, and there is no room for a defeatist's attitude in this life. In life we witness changes whenever we felt we've had something good and it changes we begin to resent it, I know I have. What I never really grasped was that change is going to happen whether you like it or not the only thing you can do is keep the memories and transcend the boundaries of the illusion that is your past. Living in the past puts you at an extreme standstill, what I always tried to do was understand what caused these changes and why they occurred instead of saying fuck it and moving on.
Change has always played the role of bad cop/good cop which is one way to look at it, kind of like the whole a glass half empty/or half full concept, it's all in your perspective. If you view change as a negative rather than what it is,change, that's when you cease to exist and you simply become a distorted concept of the past and what once was.
It's going to be a long road but I think that I can finally burn some bridges.
